Fingers Crossed
This is how I imagine some authors look when their material has been requested by an agent. I know that this is how some agents look when we get a call from an editor.
Okay, so that would be me (with wrinkles, daggy clothes and messy hair) after rereading to make sure the request was really for me, screaming and running around the house (trying not to scaring the dog).
Hee, leaving out vanity and comparative bust size, yeah - I do this for some of 'em. It's the pets' reactions to my squeeing that's really worth the .GIF in my house, though! "Madam, what ARE you so excited about!?" sez Gossamer the Editor Cat. :)
Partial request tonight, full out, several Qs still live, and research for new ones ongoing ... !

I've never looked that good.
Add gray hair, wrinkles, an old turtleneck and sweatshirt and maybe, just maybe that would be me.

Gah. Note to self: Read posts before publishing. That should be trying not to SCARE the dog.
